Standard Chartered partnership with NACCFA and Nairobi Arboretum Park
Our partnership with NACCFA and Nairobi Arboretum Park
In 2021, we launched and officially signed a three-year partnership with Nairobi Arboretum Conservancy Community Forest Association (NACCFA) to rehabilitate The Nairobi Arboretum Park and to promote urban green spaces through restoration of running paths, support education and creating awareness on conservation of the environment in the community.
By the end of 2024, we target to restore approximately 6km of running paths, upgrade 50 existing tree signages, label 100 trees with QR codes, educate Standard Chartered colleagues and create awareness of conservation through employee volunteering and support a 1 million seedlings nursery. In partnership with NACCFA, we are developing a digital app which will be used as an education tool to create awareness on conservation, climate change and at the same time promote the park.
