Our Role

as Standard Chartered Bank in Accelerating
the Net Zero Agenda

To sustainably address climate change as a Bank, we have gone ahead to adopt the oldest historical park in Nairobi, the Nairobi Arboretum Park and have committed to support a nursery that will grow 1 million tree seedlings.

Aim

We aim to become a key player in the race to reach net zero with two commitments - to achieve net zero emissions from our operations and only use renewable energy sources by 2030 and second to achieve net zero in our financed emissions by 2050.
